The 1921 Camberwell council election was held in August 1921. One seat in each of the three wards was up for election for the City of Camberwell.

Campaign

The election was contested largely on the rating of unimproved land. There was considerable debate over the course of the year discussing Camberwell Council's proposed changes to the way in which rates were calculated. Those in support of the new system, Camberwell Council and the Reform League, were opposed by the Camberwell Ratepayers' Protection League who ran a candidate in each of the three councillor seats available at the 1921 election.

Aftermath

Results were close in both North and South Wards and recounts were conducted. Once these were completed, the original election result was overturned and Arthur Latham declared as the new councillor by 20 votes. The result in South Ward was reaffirmed.
