Commissioners

1934 to 1993

In 1934, the Council applied to the Victorian Government to create an extra ward after a lengthy process and many attempts.[2] This resulted in North Ward being split into North East Ward and North West Ward. As part of the reforms, all sitting councillors were required to retire and nominate themselves for re-election if they wished to do so.[3][4]
