Michael Lynch was an early resident of Hawthorn and heavily involved in the early development of both Boroondara and Melbourne. He was also an inaugural member of the Boroondara District Roads Board and instrumental in helping to establish local government in the area.
Life
Lynch emigrated to Melbourne around 1840.[1]
Legacy
Lynch Street in Hawthorn and Lynch Place in the CBD of Melbourne are both named for him.[1]
