Henry Sallows Walsh was one of the nine inaugural members of the Boroondara District Road Board. He also served as its first chair and in several other elected positions.

Life
Walsh emigrated to the Port Phillip District (now known as Melbourne) in 1849. He began his own business as a jeweller and watchmaker, Walsh, Jones & Company, from c1854. It later became Walsh & Sons with its final name settling on Walsh Brothers.
