Hawthorn Bridge is a 98 metre-long wrought iron truss bridge spanning across the Yarra River connecting Bridge and Burwood Roads. It was formerly known as 'Hawthorne Bridge' but the 'e' was gradually dropped from its and its namesake suburb.

It is the oldest original bridge across the Yarra River and one of the oldest steel bridges in Australia.[1]
